How it works

How it works, from first question to funds

Five steps. One team. No credit check to find out where you stand.

  1. 1

    1. The 60-second enquiry

Tell us your state and town, how much you need, what it's for and whether you own property. No credit check at this stage.

  2. 2

    2. A call from a real person

A lending specialist reads your enquiry and rings you, usually within business hours, to understand the whole picture — including anything local, like a regional property or an interstate expansion.

  3. 3

    3. Options, explained plainly

Secured, unsecured or a combination. We explain what each would involve, what the lender will look at and roughly how long it takes.

  4. 4

    4. Documents and assessment

Only once you decide to go ahead. You get a short, specific list — typically ID, ABN details, recent bank statements and, for secured loans, property details.

  5. 5

    5. Approval and settlement

The lender confirms terms in writing. Once documents are signed, funds go to your account or straight to whoever needs paying.

What makes it different

Most comparison sites collect your details and pass them to whoever pays the most for them. We don't. Your enquiry is read by a person who looks at your business, your state and your property, then finds the fit. If the honest answer is that finance isn't right for you yet, we'll say so.

Location matters more than people expect. A second mortgage over a house in a large regional centre is a very different conversation from one over a rural block, and a business buying premises in South Australia faces a different duty position from one buying in New South Wales. Our state guides and regional lending guide explain why.

Common questions

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check only comes into it once you've chosen an option and decided to proceed.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. Your enquiry stays with one team. We don't run a lead auction, so you won't be flooded with calls from companies you've never heard of.

Does it matter which state I'm in?

It changes some details — local property markets, state taxes, which lenders are comfortable with regional security — but we help businesses in every state and territory.

What should I have ready?

Nothing for the enquiry itself. If you go ahead, recent business bank statements, photo ID, your ABN or ACN and, for secured loans, details of the property are the usual starting point.

Why do you ask for accurate answers on the form?

Because we match your enquiry to a lender that suits it. Accurate details about the amount, purpose, property and your state mean the first call is about real options rather than guesswork.
